The 4th of July was an interesting day. For starters, the 4th is Virginia's Birthday, so we got together for breakfast at the always wonderful Lexington Motel Restaurant. Next was our Annual 4th Of July Poker Run to raise money for the local SPCA. I didn't manage to get any pictures... which is kinda lame, because I did have my camera with me the whole time. But, it was a good run, we had a slightly light turn-out, because of a chance of rain. Dang fair-weather riders.... so we did get rained on a little bit... but nothing too bad.
Next up, it was off to the 4th of July Festivities at the V.M.I. Parade Grounds. The Hot Air Balloons were taking people on tethered rides, and the place was actually a bit crowded compared to normal.
Virginia and I laid out a blanket and just kind-of chilled out on the grass for a while. It was nice and relaxing after a long day.
We were being overwatched by Virginia's Sister, Martha, who kept us entertained with her lovely stories from the corporate world.
